Password

Once installed, the GhostPigeon app is invisible so it cannot be accessed by any icon on your mobile phone as there is none.

You can only ever access the GhostPigeon app by carefully entering the default numeric password on your telephones keypad which is *1234#

On entering this numeric password the GhostPigeon app will instantly open up for you to use and enjoy.

(Please note: you must enter the password from your phones home screen, i.e. the screen where you would dial a telephone number from). The default password to access the GhostPigeon app is *1234# and it is highly recommended that you change this to a numeric password that is more personal & private to you.

Please remember that your password must begin with a * and end with a # (for example *3456# or *8795#).

Please Note: There is a small exception to this rule with 4 mobile phones in particular the (N97, N97 mini, E71 & E63).

We introduced an extra security feature for these 4 popular business models. If you have any one of these handsets (a Nokia N97, a Nokia N97 mini, a Nokia E71 or a Nokia E63) to access the GhostPigeon app with these phones you must hold down the ‘Shift’ key followed by *1234#

Please note that you must keep the ‘Shift’ key pressed whilst pressing *1234# Once this has been done you may release the ‘Shift’ key and the GhostPigeon app will open up. NB: To access GhostPigeon on the Nokia N97 & N97 mini you must enter the numeric password on the phones keypad and not the phones touch screen.

Changing My Password

The default password to access your GhostPigeon app is *1234# it is highly recommended that you change this to a numeric password that is more personal & private to you. This can be done quickly and easily in GhostPigeon Settings.

Your password can be changed as often as you like at any time.

To Change your password you need to access the GhostPigeon app by entering *1234# (or if you have already changed this previously just enter your current password). Once you have accessed the GhostPigeon app select the ‘Settings’ icon. In ‘Settings’ you will see that there is an icon titled ‘Edit Password.’ Simply select ‘Edit Password’ and you will be presented with a screen that asks you to ‘Enter New Password.’ You will note that the * key has already been pre-input for you. Simply enter you new numeric password. Please remember that any password must begin with a * and end with a # (for example *3456# or *8795#).

Once you have done this, in the box directly below titled ‘Re-Confirm Password’ you must re-enter exactly the same numeric password as you input in the box above. Once you have completed these steps simply press ‘OK’ and you will see a pop up informing you that your password change was successful. That’s it, your password has been changed. To test this just exit the Ghost Pigeon software and enter your new password to access the app.

If for any reason your password change was not successful you will be presented with a pop up screen warning you as to what the problem could be. Again, please remember that in the ‘Edit Password’ screen, your numeric passwords must match identically in both boxes and all passwords must begin with a * and end with a # (for example *3456# or *8795#).

Troubleshooting

Q: I have text the word ‘GHOST’ to ‘60999’ to purchase Ghost Pigeon and I have received a text message back from 60999 thanking me for my purchase. The text contained a link to download the app but I cannot click on the link with my phone. How can I do this?

A: For the majority of all handsets this does not happen however there are some makes and models of mobile phones (such as the Nokia E61i) that does not automatically select or highlight links that are contained in the body of text messages. This is purely a handset issue and has nothing to do with the text message you have received from us. If this has happened to you on your phone then you will need to copy and input the all the exact characters that appear in the link into your phones web browser instead. Make sure this is done exactly word for word as displayed in the link in your text message. If this is done correctly your phones web browser will now open up and your GhostPigeon software will begin to download automatically.

Q: I was using GhostPigeon and my phone froze. I couldn’t do anything, what should I do?

A: Sometimes mobile phones do tend to freeze, some handsets more frequently than others. This is a common issue that is caused purely by the mobile phone itself and it has nothing to do with the GhostPigeon software that is installed. If this has happened to you, simply switch your phone off and back on again and this will usually resolve the problem.
